🫣 What's Your Biggest Work Mistake?
These Systems Fix Neuro Anxiety

Stop being the bottleneck
Every leader hits the same wall: too many priorities, not enough bandwidth. Wing clears that wall with a full-time virtual assistant who runs the drag layer so you lead, not chase.
Offload scheduling, inbox, follow-ups, vendor wrangles
Keep your stack, your process, your control
Scale scope as you scale revenue
This isn’t gig work. It’s dedicated support that shows up every day and allows founders to delegate without losing control.

What's Your Biggest Work Blunder?
Mistakes are an inevitable part of life.
You’re gonna f*ck up at some point. I guess the aim is to minimize its impact.
I’ve made a few howlers in my life.
Like, showing up to the office without my laptop. I forgot to pack my stuff the night before, when I was working from home.
Or emailing confidential reports to the wrong person!
Whatever your biggest mistake was, I’m sure we can all take learnings from it.
The Further One Progresses in Their Career…
Before I transitioned into the senior roles. I had to get my sh!t in order. As the pressure and stakes are much higher, I thought.
It came with more anxiety, especially with the past mistakes at the back of my mind. But I refused to let that get the better of me.
I had to come up with something… Set Up Controls In Place
1) Borrow Quality Assurance from the Pros
I started adopting practices companies use to ensure the quality of their products and services are intact. A term called “Quality Assurance”.
This way of thinking helped me think in systems…
Quality Assurance (QA) is about making sure things are done right from the start to avoid mistakes. It’s like setting up clear rules and plans to ensure a product or service is good quality before it’s finished, rather than just checking it at the end. Think of it as preventing problems by doing things carefully and consistently.
So, about making sure I never forget to take my work laptop to work. The moment I log off when working from home, I’ll quickly arrange my work bag for the following day.
I have a checklist:

2) Process Notes for Total Coverage
Producing process notes to ensure every step and input is captured and covered, leaving no stone unturned.
This way, I can zoom in and out, having an overview of things, enhancing my understanding. This has saved me from further mistakes.
3) Check in with People
Brushing up on your knowledge and understanding of something is a must!
I don’t know and have all the answers, but if it’s concerning my remit, I at least have to know my stuff very well.
It may involve getting additional information or insight from other stakeholders and colleagues at work.
This has helped me put pieces of the puzzle together and come up with value-added ideas.
Wrap-Up
I see these as a mental template to help me stay engaged and diligent as much as possible. Willpower can only take you so far. This is where the systems come into play.

Some stuff I stumbled across on the web this week:
So a pregnant woman taking pain killers (Tylenol) potentially causes the child to have Autism… 🫠
Lastly,
Next week, we’ll continue on mistakes and talk about “Attention to Detail”
